Established in 1965, A Rhodes Haulage originally started out in general haulage. Since then, we have become a leading name in the road haulage industry. We have progressed to become a major partner in the portable building sector and we also regularly undertake specialist work with abnormal loads or unusual consignments.
Over the last decade, we have invested heavily in lorry-mounted cranes. This provides greater flexibility for our customers and improved delivery times. Our crane fleet ranges from 55 tonnes/metre up to 150 tonnes/metre on a mixture of Rigid and Articulated vehicles. Our management team follow closely every contract we undertake, from the initial site survey through to the final delivery. We ensure that your cargo is transported with the utmost care, and all of our drivers, vehicles and equipment carry full certification in their respective fields. This always meets, and in many cases exceeds current regulations. With our depot on the outskirts of York, our team is ideally located to respond quickly and professionally to your project’s requirements.
ACCREDITATIONS
Our vehicles are fully Crossrail compliant, allowing us to work on the various Crossrail sites across the country.
We are also members of FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) FORS ID 001241, which is an accreditation scheme that aims to improve fleet activity in London and throughout the UK. We have been assessed and have met the appropriate level requirements and are now holders of a Silver qualification.
We also hold a qualification known as CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme)to the Premium Plus level. As well as this, we hold an ECO Stars qualification.
The certificates are fast becoming seen as an industry-standard and recognised accreditation. Companies that do not hold these may risk being turned away from a customer’s site, therefore it is essential that we remain as up-to-date as possible.
