Contract Hire

We offer vehicles on a short-term and long-term contract hire basis, be it for 1 day or a year and beyond. Each contract is reviewed individually and we will purchase additional vehicles/equipment if needed. The vehicles and equipment provided can be in our standard A Rhodes Haulage Ltd fleet colours, or painted in a livery of the customer’s choice. (Example Below for one of our contracts white cab and blue trailer)

Site Surveys

In general, moving portable accommodation isn’t a straight-forward process. We have an Operations Manager who assesses the site and route in. The Operations Manager will do a site survey to make sure we can get the building into the area and a route survey is completed to check the access. The crane company and customer(s) on site are always greeted and well informed and ensure everything is to everybody’s requirements. Due to the specialist movement of the loads, we liaise with the police and local councils. Our escort vehicles are equipped to police specification so we can escort loads and deliver ourselves. In some cases, police assistance is required, and A Rhodes and the local police work in tandem to ensure the job runs as smoothly as possible. Some of the more challenging jobs can take up to three months to plan before the job is undertaken. Every job is provided with a Risk Assessment and Method Statement.

Storage and Warehousing

A Rhodes Haulage has a 6,000sq.ft. fully insulated and heated warehouse, offering storage for any product. The internal storage is fully secure and also has 24/7 CCTV. In addition we offer secure outside storage on hard-standing ground of an additional 150,000sq.ft.
